Common items around our homes that are poisonous to our pets...

It’s amazing (yet scary) how many  items may cause serious problems if ingested by our dogs and cats. Here is a list of items that are commonly found in our kitchen and around the house that we need to keep away from our pets.
  • Chocolate
  • Grapes, raisins and currants
  • Xylitol/sugar-free gum or candy
  • Table scraps (especially fatty ones)
  • Onions & garlic
  • Macadamia nuts
  • Unbaked bread dough/alcohol
  • Household cleaners
  • Certain plants
  • Compost
  • Pest control items/any other chemicals
If you suspect your pet has ingested any of these items (or any other items), please know the amount and the item available when you call our office.
